This position is an hourly position and may include work on weekends and overtime. Job Qualifications: The candidate must possess: a college degree, a strong work ethic, the ability to lift up to 75lbs, transportation to/from job sites, strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, the ability to relate to and support impatient and demanding people, and problem solving skills with a keen ability to think outside the box. AV & Gadget Support Wizard Location: Manhattan, NY Start Date: Immediately Salary Range: $40,000 - $70,000 (based on experience) Position Type: Hourly or Full Time Tarr Technology Consulting has an immediate opening for a gadget guru and computer support wizard. Here at Tarr Tech we are in the business of designing, installing, and supporting our customers for all of their high-tech gadgets and computer needs. This can mean anything, which is great because we end up playing with every new piece of technology that comes out, but commonly means helping with new computers, network setups, cameras, new cell phones, new PDAs, new stereo systems, new TVs, new universal remote controls, and more. Since we’re totally into this stuff, we take things to their fullest level possible and do our best to integrate everything so that one’s cell phone can in fact turn on/off lights and air conditioning, so that your computer does automatically sync with your phone and your iPad and the cloud, and that your stereo is connected to the internet and uses things like Pandora and Rhapsody. This particular job’s day to day responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 1. Setup and configuration of the products we provide our clients. 2. On-site and telephone support of these products. 3. Testing of new products and documenting how they fit into our overall technology product philosophy Job qualifications: You must possess: strong verbal, presentation, and written communication skills, the ability to relate and communicate with impatient and demanding people, a college degree, and the ability to think outside the box and solve problems.
