Classic Arcades are becoming extinct in NYC

When I was growing up there were arcades all over the city, and I begged my father to take me so that I could play the “sit-down” version of Star Wars. In 2005 there were 44 licensed arcades in the city, today there are 23. This New York Times article talks about the remaining ones, and how they are becoming quite the hangout. Anyone up for sit-down Star Wars?

My Favorite was the sit down OUTRUN by Sega!! A great place to go in Williamsburg is here.
